This jointer is in the 1926 Wallace Portable Machines catalog #403 (mothership info) noting it operates on Electric Light or Power Circuit. Length is 30". Direct drive with a leather flex coupling, the 1/2 hp GE motor turns the three knife cutter head at 3600 rpm. The triangular 'flap guard' has a patent date of Oct. 2 1917. I found the cutter head and motor bearings dry and worn, and am replacing with new sealed bearings. The toggle switch seems to be a replacement. The original black paint just needs a paint spatter cleanup. The stand is angle iron with distintive squared claw feet, and part of an old door for the top. Dust/chip collectiion is a wood box that fits underneath.
