Comments:
I do not own this machine. It was auctioned at an estate sale near Plymouth, IL December 12, 2006. High bid: $300. The executor of the estate said the machine had come out of the railroad shops at Quincy, IL, most likely the Chicago Burlington and Quincy. The machine's date of manufacture *may* date back to the 1860s and it may have had a life of several decades before being used in the railroad shops.
The seller described it as capable of cutting all four sides of the stock, capable of making shiplap, etc. It had been in a shed and out of the weather and unused for many years.

It is approximately 10 feet from end to end with an estimated weight of well over 5,000 lbs.
