I found this 1956 Wood/Metal Bandsaw, Model 28-380 after a one and a half year search in Toledo from a used machine reseller. It was advertised on the internet. I drove it home to St. Louis disassembled, in the trunk of the car. The unit had a three phase, one half horse power motor which was replaced by a 1 hp, 220V, single phase. All hardware was replaced with Stainless Steel. The saw was stripped and repainted with Rustoleum Hammered Grey and Black. Installed new urethane band saw tires and all new bearings. It runs Great.
