Comments:
The actual maker of this store-brand belt sander is believed to be ToolKraft Corp. It is identical to a Powr-Kraft (Montgomery Wards) TRT-2705 belt sander owned by Brian Kachadurian. Brian identified the model-number prefix as belonging to Rockwell, but as far as we know Rockwell did not make anything like this sander. Brian saw another identical sander, a Model 300 from ToolKraft. ToolKraft denies making this sander under their name or anyone else's. Web searches in 2020 produced enough examples, on eBay and elsewhere, to show that there was definitely a ToolKraft Model 300 4x36 belt sander. We have not been able to find any catalogs, ads or articles that mention this model, though.

This sander belonged to my grandfather, and is the only machine I have from him. His other machines—Delta contractor's style tablesaw, Delta lathe and Beaver scrollsaw—remained in my grandmother's basement for a couple of decades after my grandfather died, and by the time they were offered to me I already had a fully equipped shop.

The base of this sander is made out of plywood left over from making Mosquito bombers in the Cockshutt Plough Co. factory. The base was built as a night table and then repurposed.
