From the auction of the Messenger Lumber Co., Pittsburg, KS. It's nice to find a good machine in your 'backyard', twice as nice when it's a mate to one [5" moulder] that's being used in shop. Another variation of arbor height adustment. I was told prior to auction that it had recently been rehabilitated, including new babbitt. Skepticle? You bet. But I found the best babbit pour I've ever seen. How nice is that? The blue-gray color chosen for the two Jos.O.Collady & Bros. is probably much lighter than the dark blue to black that it would have been originally, but it's a close match to what little first layer paint that was uncovered on each machine.
