Had been looking for one these for a while but even the most abused ones seem to sell for way more than they are worth. Finally came across this one on craigslist for a reasonable amount.

Despite the fact that it had originated from a school shop, the shafts and drums were in excellent condition. As expected the casting was grooved from the belt (now filled with JB Weld) and the top/side guards were missing.

Cleaned stripped and repainted everything. Replaced bearings on both belt and disc. The belt platen had the typical worn area near the table and was lapped to get it closer to flat. Replaced the light switch with a motor rated switch and fashioned an MDF replacement for the missing base door.

Runs and tracks well after restoration.
