Comments:
From St. Louis area. Appeared at my front door on a return trip to St. Louis from Texas by an owwm. addict that was overloaded. On this saw the mandrel is made to raise and lower for the use of dado heads. The doubled grooved wheels that the carriage travels on is totally different from the Beach that I have been using. The original wooden top that would sit on mandrel frame was missing and has not been replaced yet. The catalog description I have of this saw only mentions a single blade/arbor design where this one is double arbor, r.&l., to carry two blades at once. As well as adjusting vertically, the mandrel housing is set on a controlled pivot of app. 6" travel. I have only theories as to why this was included. Sitting silently, but could be very useful in active shop. Note: Due to damage, etc., I shortened the carrige during restoration.
