I bought this machine in the late 1980's or early 1990's from a furniture maker in Seattle. It had belonged to his grandfather. It was originally a pedal powered model. The pedals were no longer with the machine, but the mounting holes are visible on the frame and it has the heavy bottom wheel that served as a fly wheel. I sandblasted and painted all the castings. I also poured new babbit bearings, made a blade guard and table for it and put polyurethane tires on the wheels. I use it frequently.
