Yates American disc & spindle sander;direct drive 5 h.p.,220/440 volts,3 phase.I acquired this machine off e-bay on a best offer instead of a bid.I had it shipped from Ill. to my place in N.Y.via New Holland Trucking instead of picking it up myself. The sander arrived banded to a pallet and fully shrink wrapped with no damaged. To my surprize it came with ten brand new 30" sanding disc and a big box full of sanding drums
of all the different sizes needed and the rubber drums. The machine is complete with four different cast iron throat plates for the spindle sander and the original miter gauge for the disc sander. It also came with all the original handles for raising and lowering and tilting of the tables. Both tables tilt 15 degrees forward and 45 degrees backwards of the disc and spindle. The spindle sander only works when it is engaged by a flip of a leaver on the side of the machine. The spindle rotates clockwise and oscillates. This is a very fine machine and will get plenty of use in my shop.
