Iola Planing Mill bandsaw. The graceful frame casting and ornate pinstriping details makes for a handsome machine. Otherwise the design and mechanics are straightforward and standard for the era. The first bandsaw of this stature I experienced, and to this day [20 years later] I still can't imagine how they approached a machine like this every day with virtually no safety guards. We did use it often, but we did make guards. Original paint and wooden top.
