From farm homestead shop located in Allen Co., Ks. The small lineshaft driven shop included blacksmithing machs.as well as woodworking, and the lineshaft ran through an open dog trot to the adjacent wash room where it powered an eccentric countershaft driving the washing mach. plunger. It's all gone now, though. The pantry and kitchen cupboard doors and frame mortising was done with this mortiser. They were saved and istalled in a home in nearby town. Purchased the mortiser from the grandson of the homesteader.
