Well, what can I say. I acquired this beast for free. Yes, FREE! Sounds like a good deal so far. History unknown - other than it belonged to a local company that went bust and left it behind. I'm still not positive of the date of manufacture as the Serial Number tag is slightly scratched but based on the research I've done on this site it looks to be around 1946 vintage (S/N 41-4480). There is some irrepairable damage around the motor openning as the prior owner cut the hole bigger and a slot in the side to fit the motor.

I'm a newcomer to owning a vintage machine but do appreciate the satisfaction of restoration (I'm not entirely sure my wife understands though). It came with the original miter gauge and fence but is missing the guard and the duct cover plate. The motor is not original and as you can see neither is the motor cover (actually the motor looks to be brand new). It's been outfitted with pirate gear all around including an upgraded switch for the 3 phase motor inside and a hack job set of casters on the left side for easy moving. It is in working condition according to the source.

I'm inspired by others work at restoring their Unis - sandblasting sounds so tempting - so, the saga begins.

Step 1 - break the news to my wife.
Step 2 - setup cot in garage

=;-)
