From Missoula, Mont. Purchased from retired engineer whose father bought it from a construction co. in 1948. Original paint with Crescent decal on upper arm of band saw. Complete, all fences, etc. and also has complete hollow chisel mortiser attachment and sanding disc for horz. borer. A 5 H.P. repulsion \ induction motor, possibly the original. The counter shaft engages each mach. using belt tensioners, not loose & tight pulleys. It makes the unit a little more 'noisy', but then again I'm spoiled by the quietness & smoothness of the traditional loose & tight pulley \ line shaft system. All bearings are babbitt. Was always skeptical of combo. machines but the universal. deserves all it's good noteriety. It is a modern mach. in my world but enjoy using it & do so often.
