Turn-Saw-Grind-Sand-Drill-Finish. So proclaims the tag of this example of fine engineering. After decades of producing some of the finest kitchen appliances, it only seemed logical for Toastmaster to apply this extensive expertise to the world of woodworking. They did not disappoint.

Powered by a stunning single phase 2.6 amp motor; this minuscule wonder includes a jigsaw, a lathe, and a grinding wheel. Likely, other attachments were originally included, but were probably put to use in other ways due to their undoubted utility. You can see the attention to detail that the engineers at Toastmaster put into this inclusive package. Such things as a three speed motor (HI, MED, and LO) and the use of standard jigsaw blades make this machine highly versatile even now.

Despite its power and versatility, this boon to the woodworker is light enough to be carried with one hand and compact enough to set up on the smallest bench. A decided advantage for those who work wood in a Manhattan studio apartment.

I won this diminutive workhorse at the ArnFest '06 auction for $5.00 (US). I can only assume that the rest of the participants were stunned that such an amazing specimen of craftsmanship was available for bid. Fortunately, I seized the opportunity and purchased it before anyone else realized what was being offered. In case you missed it *that's* a gloat.
