This saw seems original and very clean considering the date of production. Found on the internet where the price was reasonable. I need to rebuild part of the unit, the upper blade guard diecasting is cracked where it holds one of the guide blocks. It also has the optional #894 height attachment/riser block on the saw. As a model 890 this unit is the basic catalog number for the 14" woodworking band saw by itself, including an arbor pulley and one blade, but without stand or motor. In the mid-1950s, the basic number changed from 890 to 28-290 so this might be the 28-290. (All model information provided by member jblenzi). One tag on the unit says "Rockwell." I won't bother painting the bandsaw because it looks sufficient as the pictures illustrate.
