I bought this on approx. 9/14/2006, from a seller in the Rochester NY area, he purchased it used several(?) years before from a guy who restores and sells old equipment. It took 4 men, a come-along, and about an hour and a half to load it into my van. It took me and a forklift about 2 minutes to unload it! I roughly determined the weight by browsing thru old catalogs on this site. I can not find a serial number anywhere on this machine, except on the motor housing tag. It has a direct drive motor, and it appears to have ball bearings, (or roller?), as opposed to babbit bearings. Also though the motor tag is fairly worn and scratched it appears to say that this is a 2 phase motor(?) not 3 phase. Anybody else see this on theirs? Its clearly not a single phase machine, and it has a 'Woods' motor. I hope to use it to begin making larger furniture pieces for my self, and to sell.
I have had it up and running, and it is a 3 phase motor. I no longer own this jointer, I sold it to a cabinet maker in Nunda.
