I had been looking for about a year for a Poitras shaper and finally found one!
It is 575v which I will have to change and painted General green....
I was somewhat excited to find a earilier model that had the cast iron Poitras crest. In the Late 70's they switched to a less costly aluminum sticker.. as you will see on my 1980 vintage 12" planer....

Update:
Well, I stripped it, repainted with Poitras green rather than General green. Installed new bearings, a Leeson 2 HP motor and remounted the Poitras crest on the front of the machine rather than the back (not sure why it was on the back?)
I will build a wood fence and dust collector hood and wire up a switch.
