This saw was in a plastic manufacturing shop when I acquired it. The machine was 3 phase, old bullet motor. I converted to 3hp 1 phase Baldor motor. I will cut the cabinet to allow the motor to tilt. This disappoints me deeply, as I like the goose egg cover, but I want the 3 hp motor. The bearings needed to be replaced in the arbor. New belts were also installed. Heaters were changed in the switch to give the higher amp draw motor protection. I fully disassembled, cleaned, painted, and lubricated all parts. Thanks to everyone who helped me disassemble. I couldn't figure out how to get the guts out at first, but with a combination of tilting the arbor and rasing the arbor, it came out. Almost done, needs a new fence and punchlist items remain for the restoration.

Saw in the first stages of disassembly. Had a rough life on the outside.

Front of machine with top on. I sprayed top with rust prohibitor, as I had to put the machine away for a while. Rust is very light, will come off with steel wool.
