I picked this band saw up at the same location where I bought the Delta HD shaper from ebay. It was at the warehouse where the owner kept additional machinery, and I liked this saw a lot. It included the cast iron belt guard, which I never have seen before. It has the original delta 1/2 hp motor, which I would like to keep. I already have fully restored a 14" walker turner bandsaw, but I couldn't walk past this one. It needs new tires, and paint. Bearings will be replaced when torn down. Nice saw in good condition, all original. The table and one trunnion are not attached in these photos.
Update: This machine was restored over the winter of 2010. New bearings all around, new tires, a replacement table, and this saw was good as new. The 1/2hp motor is surprisingly strong, no problems cutting thick hardwood with this saw. The Delta saws have a nice look to them, and the retirement light came off a drill press I bought a few years ago in Brooklyn, NY. I wired it into the motor switch so that one plug powers the motor and light. Nothing too special about this resotre, it was straight forward and turned out great.
