Well, I finally finished off the No. 88-DM I purchased in San Diego in December of 2005. I hated to, but I put the old "four-footer" 1939 Unisaw into storage, and set up this monster. And a monster it is! The entire "cabinet" is cast iron, and it's not especially of the thin-walled persuasion. Weighs over a ton. I put a new 16" (largest size available) Forrest Woodworker II on it, and (after some fun getting the electrics to work properly), fired it off. I'd always though that old Unisaw cut pretty well, but this thing is unbelievable! I made some cuts in 3" thick laminated MDF, and it went through it like a hot knife through butter. I think I'm all set for tablesaws for the duration!
