Comments:
I purchased this through Ebay and picked it up from the seller on Cape Cod. It's a heavy beast: approximately 200 lbs. (generous cast iron). The belt cover had been painted red. I stripped that off and left the cast aluminum exposed like what I believe was the original look. I had the casters on hand from a low-cost purchase from a local salvage outfit years ago. The table tilts left and right. Both blade and table rotate 90 degrees to facilitate cutting extremely long projects. Standard blade is 5" plain end but it accepts shorter blades as well as saber blades, files and sanding drums. Under the belt cover is a pair of step pulleys allowing a selection of 4 speeds to handle a variety of cutting situations. The power switch is a little awkward being on the rear of the motor. The lamp may be illuminated even whan the motor is not in operation although there is only one AC connection. Blade tension is adjustable and in addition it's possible to fine tune the rear blade guide and back support roller bearing.
