Comments:
I had been looking for a lathe like this one, but it's the first time that I find one that dates back to what I think is before Rockwell bought the Beaver Tools Company back in 1953 I believe. In great shape, it came with a 1/3 HP motor that runs very smoothly. The recent owner threw in a box full of chisels. He had bought it from an elderly gentleman a couple of years back with the intent to use it but his single piece that he worked on was still on the alther when I got it. All I need to do now is install it where my other lathe was and start doing some turnin'.

Update: I sold this wonderful old piece before I even had a chance to set it up and do some turning, just because I layed my hands on a Delta Milwaukee 12" model 1460 lathe, original with its cast iron stand. No need for two lathes so this one had to go. Fortunately, the new owner has very honourable intentions and will certainly take good care of it.
