Comments:
This machine was purchased by my father in 1950. He used it to build most of his household furniture, much of which is still in use today.
It stopped working last year and as my father is no longer confortable using a power saw he gave it to me.
I did some checking with a multi-meter located a break in the power cord. I replaced the cord and it runs like new. I little cleaning and TLC and it will join my shop as the trusty old workhorse it has always been.
Update: One of the bearings has been complaining lately, so I have done a bearing replacement using the OWWM WIKI as a guide.

Comments: Here's my MMB finally, fully re-assembled and back in service with its new stand and Wally Kunkle table. Thanks to Roger Hill for his tips on rebuilding a DeWalt RAS, and Alan Eden at Original Saw Co. for providing current bearing part numbers.

Comments: Removing the bearings with the gear puller and a split-bearing remover. The arbor-end bearing is nearly impossible to grip by itself, but by grabbing the fan with a split bearing remover, I pulled both the fan and bearing off as a unit.

Comments: Here's the motor re-assembled and running. It's so smooth and quiet I have to be careful to remember to turn it off.
