This is a professional, 'art' photograph of a Royersford Excelsior drill press I purchased from the S.J. Creswell Iron Works, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1985. I bought two of these drills, a brother in law now has the other. As I recall I bought several hundred pounds of taper shank drill bits for these that day also.

Both of these machines (and several others that I purchased then) had two phase motors. In 1986 I made a single to two-phase converter system for that shop. I have not used that shop since 1998. The two-phase system was taken out after a roof collapse, circa 2000 when I was in a hurry to rebuild this shop.

This photograph was taken, circa 1988, by Patricia Lambert, of Stamford, Connecticut and is copyrighted by her.

Large prints (approximately 20 by 20 inches) of this photograph (and other of some other machines of mine) have been exhibited in various shows.
