Purchased this off thebay in April of 2006. This being my first true Old WWM I feel I overpaid for it. However I do not regret getting this fine hunk o' arn. The is believed to have come out of a Glenns Falls paper mill that closed in the 1970's. It came with a 5hp 3ph GE motor and only a small homemade blade guard. I already have a 5hp 1ph and have built a very heavy duty mobil base. Only minor rust around the feet. The cutterhead is a ~5" 2 blade round. It wasn't until I got it home and tore into it that I found the drive side babbit was shot and the shaft scored. It also had no thrust grooves in the shaft and used the casting against the head for a bearing surface. I plan on getting the shaft turned and pouring new bearings. I cleaned off the one coat of dark gray with a power washer and a wire wheel. I started the painting process and am going with what's called "Dull Black". Not as shiny as gloss but not flat. I have since gotten a Frank H. Clement 36" bandsaw. I may try to continue collecting (and using) pre-American Clement machines. The tablesaw and shaper would be nice to get next.
