This machine was bought new by my grandfather in the late 1950's. It was given to my father in the mid-70's, and then to me a few years ago. It's been following me around now for 30 years. I used to make little shop projects on it when I was a kid, now I make furniture for my daughters with it. It's like an old friend to me. These old DeWalts are incredibly precise when set up correctly. I used to have a Kunkel table on it, but I never was able to make one flat enough, so now I have a bottom table of 3/4" phenolic with a top layer of 3/4" MDF bolted to it. It works pretty well.
