I bought this lathe from a school auction and did lots of work to it, including sanding/repainting; new bearings; new 1HP motor to replace the 3phase, etc. Turned out to be just to short for the work I started doing. So I sold it to a fellow OWWM'r. This is a great lathe and I was sorry to see it go but as the Shakers said 'Beauty lies in utility' and I needed a longer bed lathe. I know the date of manufacture since it came with the original manual dated 1970.
