Got this saw from a colleague who had it sitting in a crate in the basement. He bought it in a lot with other tools and had never put it together. I stripped off a few coats of paint and repainted it the original green and black. I had a new crank case spindle machined, put new bearings in, and polished up the plated parts.
There was no motor with it, so i rebuilt an old Baldor R/I, TEFC 1/4 hp motor i had. The saw runs smooth as silk - no vibration to speak of, and it's very quiet. The motor and the saw collectively weigh in at a little over 120 lbs.
