Bought this planer about 7 years ago. I did a complete rebuiild on it at that time, including cutterhead/motor bearings, resurfaced the table, cleaned and greased all parts and painted it. It has been my shop planer for the past 7 years and I have used it every day. It is now in need of another paint job, but it still runs smooth with out any complaints. I notice it is different than other j 180 's as it has a lever to disengage the feed rollers right above the variable feed rate wheel on the left side of the planer. I don't see this feature on all J180's. Was it an option?
