I spotted this jointer at an auction preview and had to have it. I was not going to be able to attend the auction. I called my fellow Arn Hunter, Eric Tuck, and asked if he would bid for me. Eric had his eye on several other items and was going to be at the auction, so he agreed. We agreed on a max price and the jointer went for considerably less than that. Eric loaded it and took it out to his farm. Eric took the motor, from the jointer, in trade for his bidding, loading, hauling, unloading, storing and reloading. A small price to pay, as the motor was not original to the jointer.
The jointer is in great original condition. I will need to replace the square cutterhead, lube and wash.
It appears as though someone has "flipped" the tables around. If you will notice the adjustment wheel is on the same side as the drive pulley.
