Bought this saw from fellow OWWM'er Mike Burian and picked it up from a lumberyard about 60 miles south of me. The saw has a 1905 patent date stamped on the base but has fancier feet than the saws that show up in the 1906 catalog. Saw is in excellent condition other than needing tires, all bearings are smooth with no play. Upper guide has an "Automatic Saw Guide & Machine Company ~ Irwin PA" plate on it. I need to locate a 2-3 hp motor for the flat belt drive but there is time as the restoration will have to wait a few months until we have our new house completed. I can't wait to get this one fired up the first time and put it through the paces.
