I was told about another source of Rockwell Machines here in the Byrne Valley area. I met up with Peter Stoltz and went round to his place. He had 5 Rockwell / Tauco items so I took some pics. Peter admitted that the machines were dusty but nothing that a bit of elbow grease would not remedy. The equipment he had included this 12 inch sander, a radial arm saw, a radial drill press, a contractor's saw / jointer combo and a Tauco contractor's saw and jointer combo. I have posted the items for interest to indicate what is available here in kwa Zulu Natal if one looks around and follows up leads. Please look at my bio to see Peter's other machines.
The 12 inch disc sander in good condition fitted with stand and casters. The motor is not original being a FEMCO which is a local make.
Sadly Peter Stoltz passed away in 2007. His widow remembering that I showed an interest in the machines, asked me if I wanted to purchase some of them as they were of no use to her. This particular machine was at first not for sale as Peter's brother in law wanted it. However some six months later the BIL changed his mind and I was again contacted as to whether I wanted this sander now.
At this stage I already had a Rockwell Belt Disc Sander but seeing it was in good condition decided to buy it. It came with a complete caster set. I refurbished it completely.
