I acquired this machine as three pieces from the shop cleanout on a very old farm east of Yamhill, OR. The Foos head had been replaced with a Champion 102{?} head, then something broke it. The upper spindle sleeve on the head had been repaired but I had to make a new return handle and complete crank. The Foos table-to-ratchet-column ears were gone and replaced with a 3/8 plate screwed on. Someone apparently failed at repairing these. I fitted and brazed new proper ears on.
Many thanks to Jeff Joslin for putting the Foos catalog pic. up, I would have otherwise never known what I really had.
Looks like Foos Mfg. was more interested in sales than casting pattern problems.
