I got this off the 'bay after confirming a Ruckering offer from Dave in CA. It was used in a hardware manufacturing plant to tap holes. Dave was kind enough to drive to the dealer, take it apart enough to shove it in his station wagon, and tote it home, where he boxed everything up and I call tagged it from his house to TX. It was all there except the depth pointer and the stop rod collar. I gave the tapper to Dave. It was VERY dirty and took 100 lbs of sand to clean, but all the castings were good except the motor mount rod bolt holes were broken. One was brazed up and I had a friend weld up the other one. The motor is the hard to find RI type, and after taking apart and painting, is like new. All bearings were reused (do New Departure bearings ever wear out?). The jackshaft hanging off the motor mount is a factory part, and I haven't seen another one like this anywhere. It can run through the jackshaft or direct from the motor to the spindle. This is a very quiet machine on slow speed. The color? I just got tired of gray machines. I have purple, red, white, dark blue, and brown machines that I need to upload also.
