This is an astonishing Bandsaw design by J. A. Fay & Co. and one of the oldest and most fascinating Bandsaw machinery ever made. Which I just purchase from Cary C. Smith. A talented Craftsman and an accomplished Builder with impressive structural Building Projects to his account, living in Pioneer, California. The J. A. Fay 36" Bandsaw is one of the few types of cast iron woodworking machinery that were used by Mr. Henry Ford, in his Carpentry and Construction department to help building various automobile designs in the assembly plant. Although there has been a dramatic change in the automobile industry production lines over the past 120 years, and those cars can only be found as outdated, stored and parked for their historical values in museums; the woodworking machines once used from that era, are still running and mass-producing milling and woodworking projects non-stop. A good example of this would be the 36" Bandsaw made by J. A. Fay & Co. back in 1865. 160 years ago. This fascinating woodworking machinery is unbelievably running like new!
