After 3 yrs of harassment my neighbor finally gave in and sold this to me. Probably made in the late 50s or early 60s. Motor and machine labels are Rockwell Manufacturing (no Delta). This is the only model I've seen with the motor behind the saw, instead of below it. The Rockwell motor plate says model 62-142, 110v, 1/2hp, 9amp, 1725rpm. Motor pulley is 2" dia, wheel shaft is a 4" (SFPM 3160). This has been stored in an unheated shed for years and all the adjusting parts were rusted tight. I disassembled all the moving parts and cleaned them up with electrolysis and scotch pads. I scraped the table with a razor blade, then scotch pad buffing - came out great. It also had a bad vibration caused mostly by the belt, the original one. Saw appears to have had very little use over the years. All parts are still available from Delta/DeWalt folks. There is light surface rust just starting on the frame that I'll tackle later. For now I'm going to enjoy using this machine.
Note: This entry which was originally uploaded on 6/14/2006 was edited on 10/7/2014 to update the manufacture date. The original entry guessed that the manufacture date was in the late 1950's. According to the Delta/Rockwell serial number charts, this saw with a serial number of LI-6401 dates to 1981. "1981 LH-9327 - LN-9999" admin:dg
