Comments:
Bought at a machine shop auction by the father of the PO, this machine had never been run by him, as it is 3 phase, and sat in an unheated Amesbury, MA barn for several years. Wiring was in remarkably good condition. The windings painted with a very thick, red coating. Faced with the purchase of a VFD that would cost a bunch of cash, and ruin the esthetic of this 90 year old machine, I instead bought the smallest 750w VFD available ($38) that required 220v power, I got a 800w 110-220v converter ($35) that fit neatly in the base.
