I was looking for a Surface Grinder of some type, B&S or the like, so was combing thru FB and others for weeks, this machine came up one day so I Obtained from a FB listing from a local fella who didn't have any history on it, he had upgraded to a larger machine. I couldn't have been luckier to see this when I got to his place to pick it up, imagine, this grinder was in the back of his Garage in the most residential area, the path it must of taken to get to this place. and now it sits with me in NJ.
I have never found the exact model threw my searches or here, maybe a 1 or 3, seems not many have survived the time, I'm happy to have it.
I believe the 974 stamped in the V-ways is the SN.
This was originally an In Line machine, that must have been retrofitted with an attached 1/2 HP motor at some point.
It is a tight machine for its age, since these pictures I have ground the bed and Magnetic chuck.
