I bought this saw from fellow OWWM member Arthur Fuege. I was already making a trip up to my sister's house to pick up the now infamous Parks planer, so freight was not an issue. I made arrangements to meet Arthur for a pickup, but his work commitments changed. I think I am the only person to have purchased a machine from Arthur and pick it up, but still not meet the man. Oh well, I did get to run his Hyster when I loaded it!
I've already got it torn down and will be giving it a total makeover. The green, institutional paint was reason enough. I will post the after pics when it is complete.
Follow-up
My second restoration, and this one seemed easier than the PM60. Of course, this one is a wee bit smaller and easier to handle. I did an electrolysis dip on everything but the pot metasl and aluminum parts. Rustoleum Dark Machine Grey was apllied to everthing that deserved it. I decided to get fancy with the 1/2 HP GE motor. I pulled it apart and gave it a once over. It has sleeve bearings and they were dry as a bone. I blew out the 50 or so years of dust and sprayed it with a coat of Dark Machine Grey and Gloss Black accents. It's not an original delta RI, but I think it looks just as cool for now. I still need to hook up the electrics and fabricate a belt guard door closure.
