This was purchased in the condition as shown, from an estate sale and was removed from a homemade router table. The original base is missing as it was removed to install the lexan plate that is shown in the photos. Based on Jan's history page, I would place this as being built in the 1990's. It is marked as being built by Black and Decker, so the 1990's would be the timeframe after B&D purchased Elu. The B&D model number, 3338, denotes variable speed, whereas the model 3337 was single speed. A 3338-2 was available and was a 220V model. When B&D released the DeWalt brand of hand power tools, this router became the DW625. Reportedly, as found on an internet forum, the original Elu built version was MOF177.
