This saw has a different upper wheel mount than all the other 27" saws archived here to date. Although that arrangement appears in the 1924 catalog where ball bearings for both upper and lower shafts are advertised, because this saw originally had Babbitt bearings I am thinking it might have been a transitional model just before 1924? I hope eventually to learn more.
