Comments:
I obtained this machine from a fellow OWWMer on 6/2/2006.
He found it abandoned and offered it to the OWWM community, free for pick-up.
I was lucky to live only 40 minutes away.

Sprunger 8" tilt-arbor ball bearing bench saw, model 'E'.
S/N 41623, built in Topeka IN. The S/N indicates it was built in 1960.
Per my discussion with Dale Fahlbeck of Sprunger, this saw was designed for construction job-site use.
The cast iron top measures 12" wide x 16" deep with 3/4" x 1/4" miter slots.
The carriage assembly is cast iron.
The base is stamped steel with mounting tabs welded to the inside corners and a stiffening rod across the open back bottom.
The machine is very compact and reasonably heavy (for it's size).
One of the nicest features is the 5/8" arbor.
The owner's manual/parts list is here: http://www.owwm.com/pubs/detail.asp?ID=1789
The motor mount and miter gauge are missing.

UPDATE-September 2017:
I no longer own this saw--sold it to a fellow OWWMer.
