This is a motor I picked up a few years ago in an old barn/shop where the father passed away and was a tool collector and this was one of many motors I bought. This year (2025) I’ll be putting this motor back into service with a Craftsman 6”x 2” planer that I repainted a few months ago. I believe this is a rarer/less common variant because I haven’t seen any other examples of Craftsman motors having a stator band with raised indentation. A previous owner chopped off one of the shafts so this motor is only a single shaft but the leads are still reversible.
