The PO told me that before he acquired it, this machine had belonged to an upholsterer in a Brooklyn factory building. I have no idea how far back it was used there. The serial number dates it to 1945 (I think). The motor has no name plate, but this is the 1.5 HP version. (We figured out that the stator housing of the 1.5 HP GP motor is 5 7/8" long, and the stator housing of the 2HP motor is 6 7/8".)
