picked this up april 4,2006 from a gent in hubbardston,ma.who stated his father worked at the m.s.perkins plant in keene,NH.i asked him if he had any paper work for this & he hesitated before he said no,so i'm thinking he may have some somewhere.i paid him the 60 bucks for it & was on my way home.i thought long & hard before deciding to restore it,it wasn't in bad shape considering the age,but i just couldn't resist blasting it & repainting it.i left the underside of the base & inside of the cutter head housing & in & out feed rub pieces alone, the paint was in good shape.i finished it may 25,2006 the cutter head bearings are the same as the w&h planer/molder & i noticed that their molding blades fit this machine too, that's a plus! the only reason i am listing this one along with the other 3 listed here is the base on this one is longer than the other 3 listed.this has a 7-7/8" wide by 19-3/4" long base.plus the 2 angle iron pieces with slots to add guides, make it 23" long.another owwm'er & i agree that the pieces of short angle iron on the bases to bolt this to a bench are from the factory, even though they look home-made to me.i wasn't sure on keeping this, but now its done i don't think i can part with it.i hear they are great machines for making curved molding & can make a very tight radius curve.i have a job in mind for it,so i will hang on to it for now & see how it works.if i can get any paper work for these i will publish it on this site.
