I bought this Bench Drill Press today June 1, 2024, but have never seen anyone like this one that I've restored. I could find NO MFG Name or any Numbers as to a Model #. The Drill Chuck was Made by T.R. Almond MFG. in Ashburnham, Mass. and the Chuck #39. I tried a #6 chuck key, and it worked but wasn't perfect so don't know if it's the right one. I looked through all of the Drill Presses on this site, and couldn't find one that looked like this one, but then again, I could have missed it. So I'm trying to find out who Manufactured this Drill Press, and I'm sure someone knows, so Please tell me. Two similar drill presses I've found has features like mine, JONES & SHIPMAN, ENGLAND AND WOODWARD 7 ROGERS, HARTFORD CONN. The Motor was an old General Electric 1/4 HP, 1725 rpm, 110 volts. I'll Edit this Posting as the Info comes in. Here is a LINK from this Site with the History of Almond Mfg Co. Yesterday 6-2-2024,I found that a #3 Chuck Key for my old Delta Drill press, worked perfect in this Almond Mfg. Chuck. As of Jan. 4, 2025 I have finished restoring the Drill Press, and will put the restored Picture in this posting. The Color I used is: Rust-oleum Dark Machinery Gray #7587. Not sure what the Original color was. If anyone has any other information on this drill press, let me know and I'll try to add it to this Posting. Thank You.
