To be in Gardener, Mass., is the same as being in what was once the chair-capital of the world. Heywood-Wakefield, Nichols & Stone, Templeton, and many others built the chairs and other furniture that our progenitors sat upon. The L.G. McKnight Company emerged in the middle of this regionalized industry and produced the machinery needed to keep production profitable.... much of it being very specialized.
This saw was recently auctioned off on a well known on-line auction site and sold for just over $150.
