This jointer was bought originally for a boss of a friend of mine. My friend Steve, who knew of my love of restoring good old American-made ww machines, dropped it off at my shop last winter. When I first saw it, I knew I got to have this sweet little machine in my little shop. So I told Steve if he could persuade his boss to accept a trade of my Craftsman 6" jointer for his Delta. Well, it took some dealings and it got done. Plus repairing his boss's garden tractor/mower and selling the Craftsman 10" that I just restored. I restored the Delta jointer, first I didn't like the institutional green and, secondly to check if everything is all there. Except for a couple of special leg bolts and a crank handle, it is all there. Well, this is definitely a "keeper"!

As you can see, that ugh-green color gotta go! Plus the home-made base.

This is quite a project to restore this jointer to its pristine condition. This is my vacation project.

Well, it is done. And this was on Memorial Day. Yes, the belt guard is off. Still got it and stored away. I will replace the outfeed table crank handle from Acetoolrapair.com soon.
