Came out of a Manufacturer of Precision Scientific Instruments in Newport RI. Had been in business since 1917. I believe this type of drill press is called a sensitive drill press because of the high speed, adjustability of the table and rigidness of the table and column. Used in the jewelry business. The belt is flat and has two pulley speeds. The quill has a counterweight instead of a spring. The motor and switch are new but the rest seems to be original. Nice quiet smooth running drill press.
