Purchased for $200 from the son of the original buyer. He was downsizing and had listed it for sale on Craigslist. After years of searching for this saw it was very gratifying to find one in such pristine condition. The machine is completely intact with supple tires in great shape. Optional fence and miter gauge present as well. It is equipped with a Robbins and Meyers 1/2 hp motor with electric braking. The cabinet is the variant with removable vented end panels. The panel on the operator side is stamped with the circle P logo and the switch is mounted on that side. The only modifications to the saw are the addition of a work light and a reinforcement of the motor mount with a piece of 3/4" plywood. Note that there was no provision made for dust collection on these earlier models, however I have found that positioning the nozzle of a vacuum near the blade under the table can be quite effective. This model shares its main casting with the Model 143 which has a gear case bolted on, so there are 2 empty 1/2-13 threaded holes below the table that can be used to mount a fixture for holding said nozzle without modifying the machine.
The condition of this machine reflects the care and impeccable stewardship of Paul M. and his dad over the past 61 years and I deeply respect that commitment to professionalism. My hat is off to you gentlemen! Thank you!
